John Paul Gustad reached out to me after I filed a claim for disability and had been denied twice and I requested legal help through the state. Truly amazing! I have fought with VA since 1997 with very little success. Mr Gustad and his staff helped me with initially obtaining SSDI benefits and later a retroactive SSDI award of about $30,000 after his fees. I worked for the Boeing company for about 22 years as a composites repair technician. I repaired aircraft parts for 747, 767, 777 and the latest 787 Aircraft. ... During my course of work, I was exposed to various solvent fumes, chemicals and composites repair/bonding cure fumes. This is new technology. In the latter years of my employment with Boeing, I developed severe headaches, dizziness, chronic sinus infections, and a few other medical issues. I was later diagnosed through MRI scans as having temporal lobe sclerosis. Most likely from epileptic seizures probably caused by MCS, Multiple chemical sensitivity('s). 2 independent psychologist reviewed my work and medical records, Including EEG and MRI from 2 Neurologist,s One physiologists professional "opinions" that my condition most likely resulted from daily chemical fume exposure during my work at Boeing. Another independent psychologist hired by SSDI performed 2 days of mental tests an in her final notes commented my future prognosis was poor. My treating neurologist performed several tests and made a diagnosis that overall my neurological condition is severe. Mr Gustad represented me at a SSDI Administrative Law Judge hearing, He provided records and other information from my medical history to support my disability indeed did occurred back in 2010 when I was medically laid off by Boeing. He presented an excellent case to the ALJ that I qualified for full "Retroactive" SSDI benefits. After the ALJ hearing and review, The ALJ later awarded $30,000 in retroactive SSDI benefits.
