separation

Elaine helped me through a formal separation. She was the second attorney I worked with on this settlement. I went to her because I felt my original attorney wasn't really focused on my interests. Elaine took over and I immediately felt she was on my side. She was very professional, and made sure my ...best interests were taken into account. I have referred several friends and relatives to her. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to her.

Excellent Services

Elaine was recommended to me by a very good friend and proved worthy of that recommendation. She is thorough in her research and gives excellent guidance throughout the legal process. We have worked together on two fronts - family property dispute and the closing of a family trust. Both issues wer...e successful and equitable for everyone. I was very glad to have made her acquaintance to be a recipient of her advice.

Client

Elaine continues to be our family lawyer. Initially she was my wife's lawyer in 1993 for a relationship dispute. She became my lawyer in the mid 90's for the guardianship/protection of my father. This involved very complex proceedings in a disputed large trust. She was able to protect my father a...nd his assets. Many other lawyers were involved and clearly defended what was right without question. Always prepared and very professional. She currently is our lawyer for a contract dispute

Dissolution of Domestic Partnership

Elaine knows the current laws relating to domestic partnership and was able to advise me on how they could impact my case. She listened to my concerns and situation and then advocated on my behalf. She was extremely efficient and professional and accomplished in 2 weeks what my previous attorney wasn...'t able to accomplish in months. She outlined a work plan with an estimation of when I could expect things from her, and she followed through. Her communication was great. I always knew what was going on, and she checked in with me at all decision points. I really can't say enough about how good she was to work with!

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I have known Elaine as a lawyer for about 27 years. Initially, my then- partner and I hired Elaine as an associate attorney. She was obviously the best lawyer we ever hired over the course of several attorneys and years. She went on to establish her own practice, and I have stayed in touch for many years, our conversations sometimes involving legal matters and always topics of personal interest. I can't imagine that Elaine has ever failed to be a highly conscientious, competent and trustworthy lawyer. It seemed that the clients of mine that I referred to Elaine for help never wanted to see me again. I'm not kidding. She is special."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
