Bonnie Fong has been a part of the Washington cannabis industry since 2008. Prior to law school, Bonnie earned her Bachelor's Degree with honors from the University of Washington. Bonnie has been in the cannabis industry since 2008, when she began volunteering for Seattle drug policy reform groups such as Seattle Hempfest and Sensible Washington in leadership roles. Shortly after, she received cannabis education and training through various roles in cannabis retailers, producers and processors for over 6 years by the time she became an attorney. Armed with her knowledge of cannabis production, processing, sales, and management, Bonnie graduated law school and joined C3 Law Group.

She knowledgeable in representing owners of restaurants, bars, liquor beer and wine stores, and other hospitality related businesses. Businesses and clubs that have liquor licenses experience a unique set of problems that include obtaining permits and licenses from the Washington State Liquor Cannabis Board (WSLCB). Bonnie has successfully navigated the administrative regulations of the Liquor and Cannabis Board to obtain licenses as well as defend against license penalties and cancellations of licenses.
Landlord and Tenant Issues
Bonnie regularly assists clients in their landlord and tenant needs. She has won victories in court regarding unlawful detainer actions and disputes of lease agreements. Due to her experience in court, Bonnie is well equipped to meet your landlord and tenant needs including reviews of lease agreements, lease negotiations, commencing unlawful detainer actions, and enforcement of terms of lease agreements.
Bonnie has been a pro-bono attorney for the King County Housing Justice Project (HJP) since 2017. HJP is a homelessness prevention program providing accessible volunteer-based legal services for low-income tenants facing eviction in King County.
Bonnie's passions extend beyond advocacy and into popular Seattle pastimes- cycling around Lake Union, traveling, and practicing yoga. In her free time, Bonnie leads neighborhood beautification teams around Seattle and is a foster parent for the Seattle Animal Shelter's Foster Care Program.
