James Steven Rogers

James S. Rogers is the principal lawyer in Seattle’s Law Offices of James S. Rogers. His practice is limited to automotive product liability litigation, product liability litigation, and serious injury and wrongful death.

Mr. Rogers is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (Washington State Committee), a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (Board of Directors), a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (President, 2007, Washington State Chapter).

Mr. Rogers has been selected for inclusion in the 2003-2015 editions of “The Best Lawyers in America” (Product Liability and Personal Injury).

Mr. Rogers has been named Best Lawyers® 2015 Seattle Plaintiffs Product Liability Litigation “Lawyer of the Year”. 

Mr. Rogers was honored by the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers as 2010 “Outstanding Plaintiff’s Trial Lawyer of the Year”.

Mr. Rogers has served as president of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Western Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Rogers was a nine-year member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Rogers is on the Board of Directors for the Attorneys’ Information Exchange Group, a national organization of plaintiff attorneys handling automotive product liability litigation, as well as the Board of Directors of the Endowment for Equal Justice.

Mr. Rogers is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Rogers has lectured at over one-hundred-and-thirty legal seminars sponsored by state and national trial lawyer and bar associations. Mr. Rogers was Editor-in-Chief of Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit, 3rd Edition, published by ATLA Press, and was co-moderator of Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit: The Video Series. Articles by Mr. Rogers have appeared in many legal publications.  Most recently, Mr. Rogers was co-author of “Civil Rule 30(b)(6) Depositions”, published in the Washington State Association for Justice Product Liability Deskbook, 2014.
