Do Not Hire Brian David Litzinger

Please refer to G reviews for Modern Family Law Everett/Seattle. As well as Yelp reviews, & Brian David Litzinger specifically. Many reviews echo the same abhorrent treatment by Mr. Litzinger. He & his firm feel like a scam & a lot of our shared experiences seem to reflect that. Some of us aren't ben...ding into the fetal position & plan to fight back. Litzinger violated almost the entirety of the RPC that supposedly exists so lawyers don't seriously harm their clients through predatory tactics, incompetence, apathy, etc. As these kind of matters can be literally life or death, especially for the children who are at risk if not protected. And these matters can potentially ruin entire lives & family systems if not handled properly. Mr. Litzinger should feel deep shame when he peeks in on his soundly sleeping children knowing he sacrificed the innocent children of his clients in order to pad his pockets with money stained in the blood of their abused mothers. I have 100s of documents corroborating my experience with him. He performed none of the work he was hired for. He filed an inept, frivolous motion that was rejected by the judge within minutes; he spent the entirety of my retainer on that motion- that every other attorney I've consulted with has ridiculed and deemed outstandingly idiotic. I paid him tens of thousands of dollars more so he would just complete the thing he was hired for, where he lied to me repeatedly about working on it, only to confess that he actually had no idea where the paperwork was. The paperwork that he had been invoicing me tens of thousands of dollars for, he had no idea where it was. His accounting department took unauthorized funds from me and then refused to respond. He invoiced me for another client's work; calling into question all of his recordkeeping. The drafts he did send me were riddled with inaccuracies that I had to spend additional time redlining & correcting & then he charged me again to send him the corrected copy that I wrote. He never completed the paperwork; It was a single form with a declaration on why we were seeking the hearing.3 months, never produced it. The last time I ?'d him on it, he told me to pay him more or he'd withdraw. I had already sunk every loan opportunity I could get into paying this guy so that he would do this 1 thing. I paid him another $2k+ Friday, he accepted it, and withdrew Monday anyway. In 3 months, he attended only 1 hearing, via zoom, spoke less than 10 minutes & failed to get clarification on the DVPO (risking my life here) & suggested a deadline for OP that was 2 months more then what I had approved him to request. The OP was already 3 months overdue on ordered services. Instead of getting me the language to be protected & emphasizing urgency to help protect my son, he ended up giving OP more leeway & less accountability. After he withdrew after stealing my funds under the guise of completing his 3 month overdue term of hire, I contested with my bank. He spent months arguing with my bank, submitting documentation, submitting declarations. He proved my point for me. He spent more time fighting to keep my money than he did in the 3 months I employed him where he could have earned it. He could do all of that, but couldn't produce 1 viable document in my case over 3 months?! That part is clearly villainous, because if he were completely eloped from his brainstem, then he wouldn't have had all that conscious decision making to argue with the bank, and me. He delayed my case by 3 months during his employ by doing nothing & then an additional 3 to retain a new attorney. The hearing I needed him to arrange needed to be in the direct aftermath, but he delayed it by 6 months. Results? No protection. Son is abused with LE involvement, repeatedly, subsequently. Case still ongoing. Oh, after put me $25k+ in debt & tanked my lending potential, he's harassing me with invoices still. He wants more! After all the nothing he did and irreparable damage caused.

Family law

I hired Brian for the first time two years ago. He has been so professional through our custody case and has been more than willing to take on other legal matters for me. He is knowledgeable about family law amongst other things and he fights for me and my son's best interest. He communicates very... well and there isn't anyone I would rather hire for future legal matters.
