HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

I have been working with Stu for a couple of years. Prior to his legal services, I tried to work here and there with a couple of large well known firms, and dabbled at certain situations on my own. I was lost, until he was referred to me by another highly recommended attorney. He has been the best fo...r me, and has made this process easier to manage. My ex is a brilliantly educated man, and given Stu's education in the legal side, as well as years of experience in the psychology arena, he is able to bring a component that many attorneys fail to bring...he can read people. I lucked out in having him represent me, and I feel safe knowing he is looking after the best interest and safety for myself and for my son. I have recommended multiple people to him, and will continue to do so as long as he chooses to practice.

A Perfect Choice

Stuart was the perfect choice for me in completing my divorce. I have small children and from the beginning it was a priority for me to complete the divorce in the most amicable way possible. Stuart was able to help me through the process step by step, advise me of the requirements, support my choice...s and tailor those choices so they were legally appropriate, respectfully manage a very emotional charged situation at times and lay out all my options so I could make the best decisions for my family. He answers calls immediately when he can and quickly if he is not immediately available. He understands family law and exudes confidence (with the experience to back it up) that is quite remarkable. He was the perfect choice for me and I highly recommend him as a smart, hard working and compassionate attorney (which is extremely difficult to find).

You would take a tour through hell with a dummy, would you?

Stuart Brown was recommended to me though a person who works in another part of the legal system. After hearing the name of the firm I was about to hire, he laughed and told me to put my money back in my pocket and call Stuart. I did just that and I've never looked back. My divorce will be signed an...d final tomorrow morning, less than 20 hours away now and, although I've never been in prison, I can relate, now, to that feeling of getting out. I must say, this IS the most stressful thing I've ever gone through in life and I've been through a lot. I am (was) up against someone who ate, slept, and breathed "entitlement" and was very nervous about filing for divorce with four children as a father. I had read almost everything on the topic on the internet, books, free-advice sites. I was nervous. Stu immediately told me to stop looking at that crap. I was in hell. I have four small children and made it clear to him that those are THE most important issues in this. The house and cars are all second to that and he made it so. I am now less than 20 hours away from having my 4 kids at LEAST 1/2 the time, ended up with a bit more of a settlement than I expected, and didn't go broke in the process. I view Stu as a friend, leader, excellent guide through this and someone who has navigated this twisted system for years. You do not want to be the opposing party, trust me. I highly recommend Stu for any family law issues you are facing. If and when issues arise in the future, you better bet I'm calling him first thing. Thank you Stuart for all you've done. You've made me believe in attorneys again and were the best guide "through hell" one could ask for.

Fixed the mess my previous attorney got us in

Stu is incredibly knowledgeable and understands the aspect of divorce. He was understanding but firm. He took the file after i fired my previous attorney and was able to work through the unethical dealings of opposing counsel. He was always there and able to get the job done! I have also had him prep...are a will and work on my mother's estate. He will remain my go to counsel until he decides to retire! Thank you Stu!

NOT recommend this lawyer

S. Brown, was represented my divorce and custody case three years ago. Being legally married for 9 years and have a two small children, S. Brown told me what I do not have any rights in this country and I have to give everything to my ex-husband. He did not represent my case well. Truly, I felt v...ery disappointed and disrespected because of his work. In the beginning he presented himself as a strong, knowledgeable lawyer who can take care of my divorce case well. However, after I paid to him retain fees in cash and hired him to represent my case, his poor knowledge and not respect for the women showed up: He could not build an argumentative statement well, He was not detail oriented for my case. His work style was too much sacratic-by using expressive communication that leads to no where. He had the bad listening skills; He analyzed too much things what were not important for the case (waisted time and money). He could not build the argumentative strategies well. He asked me to agreed and signed a divorce degree what I was not comfortable with. I would NOT recommend this lawyer to anyone especially if you are an assertive woman and believe that you have rights.

I am not sure who wrote this email but I am very confident that anyone who has worked with me (Stuart Brown), knows there is absolutely no truth or merit to this review. The claim that I am disrespectful to anyone and in particular to women, is also sheer nonsense. I take cases regularly with women who have been abused, have no money to fight for their rights, and I fight as hard for my clients as any attorney. I am always prepared and am aggressive at court and fight commissioners and judges tooth and nail when I believe they are not dealing objectively and fairly with my clients. As all of my clients also know, I am extremely conscious of people's budgets and give a large amount of free hours to help with their financial issues. As my clients well know, money is the last thing that I am about. While I have no idea who this reviewer is as they have chosen to not identify themselves, I am left in the position of having to defend against someone who essentially remains in the shadows. If I did know whom it was, I certainly could fairly comment on why that client, if it was a client, was not helped or believed they were not helped. One of the problematic things that occurs in ratings such as here, is that anyone can say anything negative about any attorney and not have to be accountable for who they are. As I have just joined AVVO, I will shortly be asking scores and scores of clients for their reviews and am VERY confident that the review here will be revealed for what it is, coming from a disgruntled person who may not have had a very good case or someone whose own problematic behavior or past resulted in my not being able to do what I do best, zealously fight for and help protect people's rights, their access to their children, their property, their sense of safety and privacy, etc. This reviewer may say anything they wish but it does not make it so. Each holiday season, just as now, I am touched by the many letters and cards I receive from people thanking me for helping change their lives and save their relationships with their children, etc. It literally brings tears to my eyes as this is exactly why I entered law. These real clients know exactly who I am for better or worse and know that what this reviewer is claiming is simply untrue. As a South Philadelphia boy and ex-Marine, I do know about never giving in for my clients and never shying away from a fight. If you want someone with those values, I believe I am that attorney and person. Just had to get that on the record. Stuart E. Brown Attorney at Law
