CONTACT -- Stephen (Steve) Brown has exclusively practiced immigration law throughout his legal career. He has experience in both the Seattle and Tacoma (detained) Immigration Courts, having successfully represented clients in their cases of asylum, torture protection, fraud waivers, adjustment of status, and extreme hardship.
Steve lived along the U.S./Mexico border for two years where he became fluent in Spanish and was enveloped in the Hispanic culture. Steve also studied law in Guatemala and was a legal intern with a law firm in Guatemala. These experiences deepened his connection to the Hispanic and immigrant communities which allows him to better understand his clients as they navigate the long and complex immigration process. In addition to the Immigration Courts, Steve has successfully represented clients in family-based visa cases with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in Seattle and Yakima, WA, and in U.S. Embassies throughout the world, including petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, and medical waivers.
Steve received his B.A. in Spanish from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT and his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. Steve is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has participated in El Centro De La Raza Free Legal Clinic and volunteered with Casa Latina in Seattle.
Steve is currently contracted with the Consulate of Guatemala in Seattle to provide legal services for Guatemalan citizens throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska, including consultations in the consulate office and community events throughout the Northwest. Recently, Steve was also contracted with the Salvadoran Consulate in Seattle to provide legal services and orientation to Salvadoran citizens throughout the Northwest.

Consultation for UVisa
Went in and the receptionist was such a pleasant gal, she took my information out and then proceeded to let attorney know I was ready. Attorney Stephen was a delight with explaining my options and breaking down to plain sentences of what was to be done. I am hoping to come back to retain him.
"Stephen is an exceptional immigration attorney and has very extensive knowledge of immigration law. I recommend him for any client looking for help with their immigration case."
"I have known Steve for several years. He is bright, friendly, and very capable. I have no doubt in his capability to zealously represent the interests of his clients."
"Very intelligent and professional immigration attorney, that is an asset to the immigration law community."
