Carlos Manuel Sosa III

I hired Carlos Manuel Sosa III for my divorce case, and my experience was deeply disappointing and damaging. After a year and a half of representation and over $30,000 paid in legal fees, he withdrew from my case during a critical stage. This left me in a very difficult position and forced me to urge...ntly hire new counsel under pressure, resulting in additional legal costs and negative outcomes. This experience has had serious legal and financial consequences for me. I filed a complaint with the Washington State Bar (Office of Disciplinary Counsel). On March 17, 2026, the attorney was formally placed on notice. Following several months of investigation, the ODC confirmed findings that the attorney’s conduct fell short of the professional standards expected of lawyers. Based on my experience during this process, I felt that information I shared in confidence was later used in ways that did not protect my interests when responding to the complaint. This was very concerning to me. I strongly advise others to be cautious with the information they share and to make sure they fully understand how their case is being handled. The emotional and financial damage I experienced during such a vulnerable time has been significant, and it will take time to rebuild. Be aware of this attorney. Spread the word!

I was referred to Carlos from a friend who practices a different field of law. He was highly recommended for his expertise, effectiveness and ability to achieve results in family law. Upon initial contact, I was impressed by the responsiveness of his office. Unlike a previous attorney I hired, I fo...und Mr. Sosa to be compassionate yet realistic in regards to expectations. I would hire Mr. Sosa for any future legal needs.

Terrible Attorney. Charged us $9,000 to do a modification of child support to save us $100 per month. He should have told us that our case couldn't be appealed for 2 years and saved us the $9,000. Basically went to court 2 years before I was allowed and paid him $9000 to find that out and lose our... case. Also, had to pay another $2000 for respondents attorney fees. Terrible attorney. If you want to lose and throw your money away then use this attorney. I am amazed this man is allowed to practice law.
