Christopher Linton Burford

As General Counsel to Eastern Oregon University, I represent the university in a broad array of legal matters. In my role as Board Secretary, I provide support to the governing body of the university, the Board of Trustees. In both aspects of my work I draw upon thirteen years as an staff attorney to a federally-recognized American Indian tribal government. I also rely upon nearly four years of operating my own law office, during which time I represented a municipal government in a variety of legal matters, as well as representing many private clients. 

Major themes of my work have included government law, government administration, administrative law, employment law, real property transactions and disputes, and environmental law. In all these settings, my emphasis has been on giving solid, practical help to people who need it.
