Just In it for the money

Angela Screwed over my family after we already lost a dear family member in death. I believe she gave us false hope during our grief. she forgot to file a crucial document which would have settled the case outside of a trial, but we ended up paying for her to file that document a second time, and al...so losing during the trial. Just weeks before the trial, she backed out and had her assistant take over. the poor man knew nothing about the case. Very poor communication, and many errors that were Angelas fault. $10,000.00 later and I don't think she has a care in the world about the outcome of something that ruined our lives.

Great Attorney!

Angela and her staff are amazing. they kept me well informed. Listened carefully and went straight for the facts. I really appreciate her and her staff and the work they do. In my case I was wrongfully accused and it came out in the evidence she gathered for my defense.

Very Disappointed

My brother called her for his very serious case. She said that she would take the case, then handed it off to her one associate that had his license for 2 months !!! We are up to 8 calls, 2 faxes with no response

Hey! That's not fair. When you retain a lawyer, your retainer agreement usually states that you are not retaining a particular attorney but rather the office as a whole. This means that different parts of the case are handled by people having varying expertise for that area: discovery is handled by one attorney; inter-office communications are handled by someone else. Appearances in court may be handled by a junior attorney who has expertise in pre-trial conferences with the court. Legal writing and research can be done by another lawyer or a law clerk. The legal judgment of your attorney is usually based upon pleadings. The attorney does not need extraneous facts unless the lawyer asks for it. Very often, it is way more important to talk to the opposing attorney rather than the client. These contacts are done during daylight hours and these calls come first. I also do not return client calls during day light hours as I am serving other clients during that time. Legal practice is an intricate apparatus and you may lack the expertise to criticize it. If I was your attorney, I might decide to drop your case if instead of facing the opponent you began to oppose me and publish your opposition on avvo. In my practice I periodically have to disqualify myself as counsel for a person when they turn against me. Some have felt free to publish my correspondence to the court and on the internet and all of those have found themselves unrepresented thereafter.
