For 17 years, I also served as the Executive Director of the Northern California Tribal Court Coalition, a tribally-chartered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which is working to improve awareness, exercise of jurisdiction and community access to tribal courts in our region, particularly regarding domestic violence, child welfare and the Rights of Mother Earth, including protecting and enhancing tribal food sovereignty.
