I retained Mr. Lillegard's services for a divorce 5 years ago. After the initial meeting I had with Mr. Lillegard I felt like I had a chance. Not revenge. Communication with Mr. Lillegard slowed to a trickle as days turned into weeks then months. I would drive from the coast to Dallas for legal matte...rs and the required court appearances. Mr. Lillegard was not present on many occasions. At one point I was asked to sign documents by his office manager that Mr. Lillegard had not reviewed. He was unaware that I had received them. Shortly after this incident I was made aware that I could resume residency in my home that my ex-wife had vacated as per Mr. Lillegard who gave me all the assurance that everything was on the level and all parties were aware of this. Needless to say Mr. Lillegard had given me the green light to move back into my home as the proper paper work was filed and signed by the presiding judge who in the past was a practicing partner in his law firm the previous voting cycle. However, this was not the case and a neighbor had called the police after I tried to enter my home without a key through a window. It was a fiasco. This was during the posted office hours of his law office. I never received a return call from him while I was being questioned by the police as they were aware I was in a nasty divorce. If it was not for a Dallas city police officer who had the history of my situation and went out of his way to help me things could have been much worse. I paid this man in full after the initial consultation and it was not worth it.
