Assertive, principled, and listened to what was important to me.

I was very fortunate to have Daniel handle my divorce. The eventual settlement that Daniel procured for my divorce was favorable. Throughout my divorce process, the end result seemed most important to me. I felt like I was just trying to get to the other end. Although it is a huge relief to me tha...t Daniel was able to help me get a favorable settlement, what I appreciate most in hindsight is how he handled the process. I was very shaken up and afraid when Daniel took over my case. I had initially tried to settle my divorce quietly without legal help by agreeing to take next to nothing. I was scared of my former spouse and thought I could avoid conflict by conceding. My former spouse became increasingly threatening as I conceded, both physically and with groundless legal threats. I had attempted to hang myself before Daniel took over my case. Throughout my case, Daniel was level headed and did not indulge unreasonable demands from my former spouse. When sending me documents my former spouse filed, he would include an explanation informing me what demands were entirely unreasonable and filed to intimidate me, and what demands were normal along what specific actions were required from me to satisfy them. He was also level headed towards me when I was hysterical and afraid. He advised me not to do anything shady and to handle things properly through the court. Specifically, the idea of losing my dog to my former spouse was absolutely intolerable to me and I was not comfortable leaving that up to the court. Daniel instead guided me through making a strong case for my possession of my dog. Although Daniel sticks to the high road, he is assertive in protecting your rights and will fiercely advocate for you when you are within your rights. Before Daniel took over my case, I found that I had no recourse even when things that we very wrong were done to me. My former spouse has a lot of money and can lie with conviction. He demanded that I leave the house when I refused to arrange and participate in threesomes for him. The police had declined to offer me any assistance when I was being physically violated and threatened with my dog and frivolous lawsuits if I didn’t comply, even after separating from him. My dog means the world to me, I got her as a puppy when my newborn died. I was so scared of losing her to my former spouse, especially as my neighbors were telling me she was being mistreated. I was afraid to retrieve her because my former spouse said it would be criminal trespassing, and the police refused to get involved with civil affairs. Daniel let me know that I could not trespass on my own martial property, informed me I was within my rights to retrieve her, and defended me when my former spouse lied to the police and tried to have criminal charges filed against me. I stated that being able to keep my dog was the most important thing to me in my divorce and Daniel made it a priority. Because he fiercely stood up for me throughout the divorce process, I was did not have to separate with my dog at any point in the process. With Daniel advocating for me and buffering threats from my former spouse, I was able to move forward in rebuilding my life even as my divorce drug on. I was at rock bottom before Daniel took over my case and just really wanted to die. With the relative peace and hope that Daniel’s work has provided me, I have been able to get through my divorce while establish myself at a demanding new job and in a new relationship.
