Personable, Professional & Practical

My husband and I hired Lori initially to help us terminate my Ex’s legal rights to my son and allow my husband to adopt my son. It ended up being a long, brutal, custody battle with my ex who had resurfaced after being absent for years from my son’s life. Lori fought hard for us, prepared us every st...ep of the way, took time to listen to us but also told us ways we could cut costs by handling certain things ourselves. She told us our options along the way and explained why she recommended one option over the other. She helped us see things realistically and at times helped to reel in emotions and keep things focused on our son vs my ex. With her help we were able to come to a sustainable agreement that kept our son safe. My ex was granted supervised visits that would graduate to unsupervised, then overnights, then short summer visits then eventually 3week summer visits. Lori told us this was the best solution to give him time to prove himself or enough rope to hang himself. It’s been over 5yrs since that arrangement was made and he has still never had an unsupervised visit and only maintained contact for about a year. Lori still touches base with us to see how we are doing. Our son turns 18 next year and Lori will be handling the adult adoption case for us so my husband can finally legally be named his dad. We can’t thank Lori enough for all of her hard work and dedication. If you’re looking for an attorney you can trust with your children’s lives, look no further.

Surprise! It’s a bouncing preteen!

We used Lori for our non relative, non DHS, adoption. I normally handle everything myself. I’m not one to wait around. It was so nice to have someone advocate legally for us. Having her there to answer my millions of legal and procedural questions helped ease my mom worries. Lori was very quick to re...spond to my emails. She was quick to find out answers at the courthouse when I needed answers. Our adoption was a stressful time, and ever evolving but Lori walked us through it and always outlined our options. I shopped around. Lori’s costs were reasonable for the work she did. She was transparent with her fees, and didn’t nickel and dime me. At the end of the day, I felt comfortable with her. I felt that I could trust her to problem solve, to be honest, and take care of my adoption.

Regardless of COvid-19 and the constraints/challenges with international adoptions, Lori Jenkins demonstrated her proficiency and expertise in adoption matters. Lori outlined her fees clearly with no hidden costs. Receiving that unexpected phone call (within the year) that my daughter’s adoptio...n papers were ready, is truly a special memory! How I see my attorney as a friend.

If there is a more competent and understanding divorce attorney out there; I like to know who he/she is? From the moment that I contacted her office in late 2014 early 2015 until now, every time I have contacted her regarding my case Lori has been there for me. I recall in summer of 2018, I reached ...out to her regarding my case ( a new problem had occurred that it needed her attention ) and even though she was in Italy on vacation, she took care of it immediately. I think she was the one attorney I needed to get me through my divorce and I thank my lucky stars. It's not everyday that you meet an attorney that has everything in one package. Lori has a very sharp legal mind, a great understanding of our legal system, a very calm demeanor that helped me greatly during some of my darkest times of my life. There is an expression that says "good things happens to good people" well, in this case Lori was the good thing that happened to me in the form of an excellent attorney. Just recently during this pandemic I reach out to her regarding my case again and she was there in person at her office to meet me and take care of my needs. One more note I should mention, during my separation and divorce I had very little money, she did not request a large retainer knowing that I could not meet that request. Even now that I am going through some tough financial times, she is understanding and willing to give time to fulfill my obligations. If my notes does not portray a total human being in a form of attorney then I must go back to school and learn how to describe people. All I can say is THANK YOU
