Successful family law case

Our family had a great experience with Thomas Scanlon. Our case was an unusual time-sensitive international family law case that was first of its kind for both, the lawyer and the judge. Thomas had to make many efforts to explain the details to the judge and there was a moment when we thought it cann...ot be handled on time, and we need to continue the process from foreign country, but in the end all worked out just on time. Thomas even made an extra effort to send some additional documents to us internationally several month later, when it turned out that they were needed for the government officials in our new home country. I haven't had many encounters with lawyers, and I was a bit intimidated by their reputation, especially because I was a foreigner in the US, but Thomas broke all the stereotypes. Besides his excellent professional knowledge and skills, he is very kind, willing to make extra efforts to support his clients, and he has a reasonable fee.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
