also known as Elizabeth A. Tedesco
Before joining IdeaLegal, Elizabeth was a partner at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn. She has been honored as a fellow in The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation (2014) and an Oregon Super Lawyer in Intellectual Property Litigation since 2009, and was one of the Portland Business Journal's “Forty Under 40” (2016). Elizabeth served as the President of Oregon Women Lawyers in 2015-2016, and most recently, was among the business leaders selected for the Portland Business Journal's 2017 "Women of Influence" award. In 2008, Elizabeth was appointed as an adjunct instructor at the University of Oregon School of Law to teach Patent Law and Policy.
Having worked with clients ranging from large corporations, early stage tech companies, individual inventors, and everything in between, Elizabeth knows that legal disputes always come at a cost – both financial and personal – no matter what a client's resources. Although she is a fierce advocate, she never stops looking beyond the courtroom for ways to end litigation to a client's advantage, balancing the company's business objectives with its resources and the relative merits of its position. She is a true partner in problem-solving.
Elizabeth is a Portland native, returning to the downpour after seven years in frigid New England for college (Dartmouth College - cum laude) and law school (Boston College Law School - magna cum laude). While she misses taking part in the passionate rivalry between East Coast baseball teams, she has never looked back on her decision to return to Oregon, and now, to help run a uniquely client-focused boutique law firm in her home town.
