EXCEPTIONAL ATTORNEY - WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATIONAL SUPPORTS!

My son with autism was having difficulties with bullying at school. After a less than satisfactory attempt to resolve by the school, I contacted Ms. Wiscarson's office. She was very knowledgable about what services my son was eligible for. She contacted the school district and was our point-of-contac...t during the rewrite of my son's IEP. She fought for services I didn't know existed. As a result, my son has a well thought-out IEP with many varied services to help him cope with peer issues. I am certain that my son's 6th grade year will be successful, mainly due to Ms. Wiscarson's help. I only wish I knew about her sooner. And going forward, I know that I have a reliable, trustworthy attorney in my corner as my son transitions to junior high and high school. I would recommend Ms. Wiscarson to anybody who wants to make certain that their child is getting all of the supports and services he or she needs to succeed in school.

100% Positive outcomes are what you can expect to receive from Diane Wiscarson and her Law Firm and staff.

Diane Wiscarson is a well known Attorney with a passon for helping families and individuals with Special Needs receive the appropriate services and legal advice needed to turn a bad situation into a positive outcome. She gets straight to the point and never backs down when defending your childs right...s to an FAPE. I was so impressed with the way that she put's her whole heart into something and the final results reflected such a positive outcome for both sides. I left our mediation knowing that things would be changed for the better and that if I ever needed someone to have my back again that she's just a phone call away. I most definitely would recommend her to everyone, especially thoses who have children with Special Needs. Our children's disabilites are going to be unique and ever changing and we need someone by our side to represent them in these tough times. Thanks again, Diane and staff for always being so positive and listening to a parent concerns.

Special Needs Kids?? Need legal help for them??? Call this office

I contacted Wiscarson Law via the internet. I got a quick response and an appt was set up within a week or so. During the guardianship process I was kept informed on a regular basis. Whenever I contacted them, I had a response w/i the day or within 24hrs. They accomplished the guardianship proces...s with a minimum of fuss, well within the cost estimate I was given. I was kept informed monthly of the costs associated, and each billing was specific and detailed. But the best part was having someone who really knew what they were doing walk me through this process, which was quite emotional as well, and feel confident that everything was in good hands. If you have special needs kids and need help with an IEP, guardianship, or finding those resources in the community that your child needs and is entitled to, well there are few that practice that type of law with any competence. Wiscarson Law can do this for you. They have done all of the above for me and both of my children. They have both required assistance, as have I, in getting them the services they were entitled to through the school and the state. I do not know what I would have done without their help.

Excellent!

I contacted Diane after having repeated concerns with my son's school personnel regarding various legalities of his IEP. Diane was extremely knowledgeable in all facets of his situation & advised me appropriately re what issues to pursue. She knows many of the ESD players involved & this proved ins...ightful. When the ESD learned Diane was on board they immediately towed a much straighter line. Her record of settling out of court further underscores her reputation as a formidable advocate for SpEd kids. If you are dealing with tough issues concerning your child's education I highly recommend contacting Diane. Her non-nonsense demeanor serves to cut to the meat of the matter directly, which translates into a more cost-effective endeavor. Diane, & her office staff & environs are exceedingly professional & efficient, & I felt very confident in entrusting my son's situation over to her practice. THANK YOU, DIANE!

Wiscarson Law Gets it Right

We first hired Diane 11 years ago. Our son is disabled, and didn't have a voice in the educational process. Diane became his voice: knowledgeable, effective and respected by the district we were working with. After achieving a meaningful IEP, appropriate placement, and reasonable accommodation, we... continued to invite Diane to the annual IEPs as a kind of 'insurance' -- district compliance with the law and respect for our son always increased when she was in the room. When our son moved to a facility three hours away, Diane provided the legal oversight and advocacy necessary to ensure a meaningful transition to the new school district. Her knowledge of our son and his educational history made her an outstanding advocate in that process and gave us the confidence to ask for and acquire every appropriate resource and accommodation possible. We have referred three other families to Diane, always stipulating that Diane's first priority is to ensure that the student receives the fullest and fairest education required by law. She's extremely careful to tell parents what they should expect, what they can achieve/acquire for their child, and what the limitations of the system are. Having Diane at the table meant I didn't have to take notes, didn't have to wade through the jargon of the educational system, didn't have to decode or decipher conversations about services, didn't have to write the letters, didn't have to make the phone calls, didn't have to schedule the meetings, and most importantly, didn't have to become an expert at the law. I was free to listen, to ask questions, to give information, and to bring cookies to the meetings. Diane did the heavy lifting, held the irons to the fire, and allowed me to make cordial relationships with the educators in the room -- invaluable to our son, as he was unlikely to make friends of his educators on his own. And, after eleven years, Diane stands firm as a comrade in arms -- it's nice to know someone has your back!

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Diane receives my highest commendation for her superb work in a one of the most difficult environments to practice law in. I know Diane as a colleague (I'm a litigator) and as a client. She has successfully represented our 9 year old son, who has numerous special education needs which were not being met by the public school district. Diane's forceful yet professional intervention on his behalf was invaluable. The district has been far more willing to recognize our son's special learning style and his learning needs since Diane was retained as our advocate. I can't say enough good things about her ability and effectiveness. And a big plus: she is a pleasure to work with."

"I am a lawyer who has practiced law for 14 years. Diane is an amazing lawyer. Her professionalism, knowledge of the law, preparedness and compassion make her an excellent attorney. Diane was the attorney who assisted my family for education advocacy within the public school system. There was no one else who could have handled this matter with a better outcome, and again, with more compassion. Diane is always 100% prepared for every hearing, meeting or other court action. Diane is ethical, zealous and concerned that she conclude a case with the best overall result for her client."
