Education Issues for your child? Wiscarson Law Firm is the solution !

I have (2) "special" children. When I found that the school district was illegally changing my son's IEP (Individualized Education Plan), I complained up the chain of command to resolve the minor issue that was created. Unfortunately, instead of solving the problem like most parents expect, my sch...ool district refused to correct the problem, to be in compliance with Oregon regulations. There came a point in time when it became clear a lawyer was mandatory to help my child. I was given Wiscarson Law Firm as an avenue for resolution by another parent who had used their services. The Firm was prompt, thorough, and effective. In the end, Ms. Wiscarson came to my small town, which was a 6 hour drive each way, and was able to secure excellent results to benefit my son. This is the only firm in Oregon I will ever recommend to you, and as a parent advocate I am sure I will be directing other parents to their firm as necessary. I expect at some point, I will use the firm for a second time with my other "special" child. Please, contact this law firm first! Don't waste a moment on any other lawyers. Contact them and your decision will be made.

Diane is a Godsend!

Diane is an absolute Godsend to our family. Our son {who was 13 at the time} was failing the 8th grade because his school was not following his IEP. We retained Diane and within a month, our son went from a 1.7 GPA to above a 3.0! As much as we were strong advocates for our son, Diane was there to ma...ke sure the system was working FOR him! She thoroughly reviewed all documentation and was steadfast in meetings. She didn't take any crap from anyone and made sure that his best interests were looked after. Our youngest son has just qualified for an IEP and you can bet that if he has any struggles with his school following his IEP and working FOR him, we will be calling Diane! She is the BEST!

Review of Services of Diane Wiscarson

We retained Diane to represent us in a dispute with a school district.Diane pit us at ease, gave us great advice, made us feel our opinions were being heard. She had a thorough grasp of the applicable law. She provided excellent advice as she took us through the hearing stage. She was well respected ...by opposing counsel as well as school district personnel. The case was satisfactorily settled. In addition , the manner in which she conducted herself allowed us to work with the school district to provide some options for our son

Great outcome

My husband and I engaged Ms. Wiscarson's services to ensure our son was provided the best support through our school district for his disabilities which are Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD). Diane thoroughly reviewed our son's Educational Plan and explaine...d where the school district was meeting our sons needs and where they were falling short. She scheduled a meeting with the school district, laid out our concerns and provided follow through until all our needs were met. Diane was affordable, professional, knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the process. We are very greatful for her services.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Diane receives my highest commendation for her superb work in a one of the most difficult environments to practice law in. I know Diane as a colleague (I'm a litigator) and as a client. She has successfully represented our 9 year old son, who has numerous special education needs which were not being met by the public school district. Diane's forceful yet professional intervention on his behalf was invaluable. The district has been far more willing to recognize our son's special learning style and his learning needs since Diane was retained as our advocate. I can't say enough good things about her ability and effectiveness. And a big plus: she is a pleasure to work with."

"I am a lawyer who has practiced law for 14 years. Diane is an amazing lawyer. Her professionalism, knowledge of the law, preparedness and compassion make her an excellent attorney. Diane was the attorney who assisted my family for education advocacy within the public school system. There was no one else who could have handled this matter with a better outcome, and again, with more compassion. Diane is always 100% prepared for every hearing, meeting or other court action. Diane is ethical, zealous and concerned that she conclude a case with the best overall result for her client."
