Incredibly thorough and knowledgeable about complex IVF and adoption issues

I hired Amanda and Jennifer (of Anderson Ballard, LLC) to investigate some initial questions I had about my complex IVF cycle, since we are using an egg donor. At first I was just curious about the donor's rights to seek contact of her genetic offspring, but the more I learned of Amanda and Jennifer'...s research, the more I realized there are other aspects to think about in this process. They helped me think about various aspects of the law surrounding privacy, medical info, etc. and they also went above and beyond to investigate issues surrounding potential embryo donation if we end up having enough embryos to be able to donate to another couple down the road. There are TONS of very touchy and sensitive issues to think about when you're doing fertility treatment, especially this complex, and I feel like Anderson Ballard helped me understand all sorts of legal details and understand some pragmatic strategies to advocate for my best family planning future. Their work went above and beyond (in a short cost-effective burst!) to arm me with all sorts of info so I can plan confidently during this chaotic process. I'm so glad I hired them!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
