Abby did not meet the moment for me in my custody battle. I hired her because I needed somebody who would fight back against my Baby Mom, who tries to take, take, take in everything she does. Abby caved at every possible turn and allowed her to back me into a corner and accept a deal that I didn’t li...ke to avoid trial that gave BM ultimate final say on anything, a child support payment that basically requires me to work overtime now to meet that number used in the calculations rather than my base salary while accepting BM reporting less than she makes, and few other provisions I was not agreeable to. She also gave me terrible advice that allowed BM to bilk me out of $500 when we transitioned my daughter to daycare. She did not respond to several emails that would have impacted my decision making through the process. Finally, instead of discussing ending services after everything was signed with me, she simply mailed me my retainer balance and filed the withdrawal motion that I only found out about because I was CC’d on her sending it to my BM. It felt very impersonal and dismissive, which sadly sums up a lot of how I felt while working through this process.
