Biography
Matt joined the firm as an associate in 2015 and is a member of the firm's Business, Litigation, and Business & Restructuring practice groups. His legal work consists primarily of drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss; researching legal issues across the firm's 13 practice areas; and handling litigation-related discovery issues, with a particular focus on e-discovery.
Prior to joining Sussman Shank, Matt clerked for the Hon. Elizabeth L. Perris in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon, where he aided the court in a variety of matters implicating state and federal bankruptcy law. Matt graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Oregon, and he was awarded the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence for Bankruptcy for his bankruptcy-related coursework.
