Kristen G Hilton

Kristen focuses her practice on complex civil litigation matters in state and federal court, including contract disputes, false advertising and unfair competition cases, partnership disputes, and business torts. She has represented clients from a variety of government agencies and industries, including real estate, entertainment, retail, dairy, and health care, and in all stages of litigation from pleading to trial to appellate matters.

Kristen has also worked extensively on a wide range of pro bono matters.  In one matter, she tried a civil rights and medical malpractice case before a jury in federal court. In another matter, she represented a group of Alaska Native voters in their lawsuit against the state of Alaska for violations of Section 203 of the Voting Rights Act. 

While in law school, Kristen served as an intern at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Criminal Division, in Santa Ana, California. 

Prior to joining Sussman Shank, Kristen practiced at Bingham McCutchen LLP and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Santa Monica, California. Originally from Oregon, Kristen recently moved back to the Portland area and enjoys spending time with her family.
