About Jane
Biography
Ms Ellis is a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest who graduated from the University of Oregon in 1983 with a Bachelors of Arts in History, Political Science and Public Administration. Jane went on to study law at the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College, and graduated in 1986. For more than 25 years, Jane has been practicing law in Oregon. She belongs to the Elder Law and Estate Planning sections of the Oregon State Bar.
Ms. Ellis is a Member of the Board of Directors of Special Advocates for Vulnerable Oregonians (SAVO). SAVO is dedicated to the protection of vulnerable Oregonians under guardianship and conservatorship.
Jane was also a member of the Multnomah County Probate Mediation Committee which established rules requiring mediation in disputed cases.
In her free time, Ms. Ellis enjoys serving as a debate coach, working with students involved with “We the People” a program designed to teach high school students about the constitution.
