This client was charged with Theft 1 (a C Felony) and qualified as a repeat property offender, thus a presumptive prison sentence of 18 months. He had received an offer of 13 months from the prosecutor ... . The client's girlfriend was the more culpable of the two, but, due to having no priors, she received probation. I spoke with the victim in the case. We discussed possible outcomes and what she would like to see happen (she felt the prosecutor wasn't really listening to her). We agreed on a civil compromise and the case was dismissed
