Donald B Haslett

I have been practicing with Chernoff, Vilhauer, LLP  since 1977, primarily working with patenting mechanical inventions and medical devices, but also doing some patent enforcement litigation, advising clients regarding licensing inventions, and helping clients choose and protect trademarks, among other intellectual property work. I am the Managing Partner of the firm.

I am a member of the Oregon State Bar's Intellectual Property Law, Computer and Internet Law, and AntiTrust Law Sections, and past President of the Oregon Patent Law Association.

I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1966 and served on ships, including having command of an ocean-going minesweeper, during the Vietnam War, before going to law school at Cornell, where I graduated in 1977.

I enjoy travel, music, and flyfishing.
