Barb's practice is devoted to representing survivors of sexual abuse and other crimes in civil cases against their perpetrators and the institutions that harbor them. She is an experienced litigator, having tried numerous cases to verdict and argued countless motions and contested hearings.
As part of her practice, Barb also volunteers her tie defending crime victims who have been sued by their perpetrators, and helping survivors of domestic abuse and stalking obtain restraining orders. Prior to moving to Portland in 2012, Barb practiced for five years in Chicago where she litigated civil rights cases and personal injury matters.
