She spent five years working for the Social Security Administration’s Office of General Counsel, where she exclusively handled disability cases in federal district courts. Before that, she spent ten years at a legal aid organization representing individuals with disabilities from the initial application through their federal appeal. Because of that experience, she understands not only how the system works, but also how deeply these cases affect the people behind them.

Most attorneys representing disability claimants have never worked inside the Social Security Administration. Andrea's experience on the inside provides valuable insight into how SSA evaluates cases and what arguments carry the most weight. Because she has represented both claimants and the government, she knows what arguments are most effective, which issues matter most to judges, and how to present a case clearly and persuasively. She uses that knowledge to advocate effectively for clients - working to convince the Social Security Administration to reconsider a denial or to show a federal judge why the decision in your case should be overturned.
