Lacks attention to basic, important details

I hired Mr. Wymetelak for my family law case involving domestic violence. This is obviously a high stakes situation involving issues of safety as well as usual divorce necessities. Mr. Wymetelak seemed attentive at first but then as the time of my restraining order drew near, his attention seemed t...o wander. He received notice from my husband's attorney that an objection to the restraining order was filed. DV social workers told me a hearing would be scheduled in 5 days standard procedure, but when I called Mr. Wymetelak he put me off saying that that particular county never scheduled anything sooner than 20 days out. We almost missed the hearing, scrambling the night before to poorly prepare. The hearing was scheduled exactly 5 business days from the objection filing. Mr. Wymetelak also misread a settlement offer to me. I was in an understandably emotional state and trusted him, so I did not ask for a copy in that moment. I went through a traumatic and expensive day at trial because of that misreading and possibly missed leverage opportunity also. Mr. Wymetelak did not interview my witnesses or advise me on what was inadmissible or not so I could not make a reasoned go to trial or not decision; I thought witnesses could testify about things they could not, yet they were at trial. Mr. Wymetelak did not read (or bring to court) important documents like police reports that he had been given 5 months prior to the hearing. Mr. Wymetelak wrote the original divorce decree granting property outright to my husband with no mention of mine (we had discussed differently). He brought me this version to sign. Even with all I was dealing with, I caught that error. Unfortunately Mr. Wymetelak also brought his integrity into question by refusing to honor a fee arbitration award and not paying for 10 months and then only because the OSB had to be involved.
