We scheduled an appointment online, seeking help with a civil matter. We were on time for our appointment. The office was closed. We waited. A secretary or legal aid appeared and opened the office. We went in and explained we had an appointment, which we had secured online. The Secretary looked at ...us with contempt, said their office did not take appointments made online, and was dismissive and haughty. Apparently justice is not blind anymore, and equal treatment under the law is a myth, a fable. Scott is a Vet who served his country for 7 1/2 years. He should not be dismissed out of hand, nor should I. We were also told that this lawyer didn't handle this kind of case. However, his ads say he does handle civil litigation. Our case involved seeking damages from someone who failed to perform as promised. That seems to fall under "civil litigation'. Very disappointing.
