Real estate partition action involving home owned by two brothers in Schuylerville, NY. Brothers had purchased home intended to renovate it together, sell it, and split the profits. After disputes ab ... out the renovation and future profits, Brother B sued Brother A for partition, seeking a 50% share of profits. I represented Brother A, who had put in the lion's share of time, effort, and money into the home. We successfully concluded the matter following a three day evidentiary hearing, after which the referee awarded us a 72.8% share of the house at sale, which was nearly the precise figure we had requested.
