For more than 20 years I have practiced in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawaiʻi, and I have helped more than a thousand people across the islands get out of debt.

My practice concentrates on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, federal student loan discharge, and stopping foreclosure through bankruptcy. I also negotiate debt settlements for people who want to avoid filing. I do not handle private student loans.

You work directly with me from your first call to the end of your case. I meet by phone, by video, or in person at my Honolulu office, including evenings and weekends. Clients on Maui, Kauaʻi, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, and the Big Island can do everything remotely.

Before moving to Oʻahu, I lived on the Big Island for fifteen years, ran law offices in Hilo and Kona, and taught Business Law at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. I am also a past president of the Hawaiʻi Bankruptcy Bar Association.
