3 times hired 3 times we won!

I hired Carol Tribbey 3 times over the past 4years...First time was for family court to get life time child support for my special needs son which she worked hard on paperwork, evidence and finding father to serve (since he was hiding service) we got everything we asked for...Second times was to rep...resent me in a child support hiring my ex falsely requested knowing that family court order states mediation first (which Carol smartly asked family court judge to place in orders prior to this happening)...Carol got it thrown out without even having the hiring, ex and ex's lawyer was not happy...I was...lol...Last was this past July for guardianship of my special needs son since he just turned 18years old...Carol had to get a process server for a out of state service to my son's dad and she made every effort to find a Processor in the state and made all efforts needed to try and contact him, which made it easy for me to get the full guardianship because true effort was made to contact him...Carol always got back to me in a timely manner, spent time explaining the process, offering me suggestions and advice, helped me to find evidence to support my case and always caring about the outcome...She treats you like family with genuine care!

Family Law

A friend referred me to Carol Tribbey when I was searching for a family lawyer to get a divorce. I hired her as my attorney and she was very easy to work with. She is personable, professional and reliable. She patiently, and thoroughly, answered my questions and addressed my concerns when I consult...ed with her in person and over the phone. My emails were responded to in a timely manner and though I only needed to call her a few times, she was available each time I called her.

Family Court

We contacted Carol for our case and she met with us and from that day forward we hired her. She immediately drew up the legal documents and we received copies of the same documents that were filed in court. When called upon,Carol returned our calls and or emails. During our court proceedings she d...rafted all of the necessary documents that were required by the courts in advance to complete our case so that there was no lengthily waiting period and our case was expedited in a timely manner. Carol handled our case in a very professional manner and we thank her for her professionalism and I would recommend her to others.

Horrible

I hired Carol Tribbey for my divorce initially and then asked if she could represent me for my TRO case. This woman never answers her phone, calls you back, or even SHOWS UP FOR COURT! I presume that she's the worst attorney to date. I would ask her for documents and she would forget to write them or... file them. She doesn't call to prep for cases. She never showed up for my TRO hearing. She acted like I was burdening her. She needs to be disbarred because of how terrible she is.

I normally do not represent my divorce clients in their TRO cases, especially without adequate notice and time to prepare. I just saw this review from "anonymous" yesterday after AVVO brought it to my attention, and after reviewing my files, I think I know which case this is, and this person definitely did not retain me for a TRO case, and was extremely difficult to communicate with. My office policy is to return phone calls within 24 hours and to file documents the day they are signed by my clients. My clients are never a burden to me, and if this former client wishes to discuss this further, my contact information has not changed.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
