I am an AV-rated attorney and a Northern California Super Lawyer. I have also been voted the "Best Attorney" in North Lake Tahoe & Truckee by my local community. I take a realistic look at legal and business disputes and find efficient results for my clients. I spent several years gaining legal experience in large law firms, where I traveled extensively practicing in many jurisdictions and courtrooms. I use my diverse experience to benefit my Porter Simon clients, the Truckee community, and many local communities in the surrounding Sierra region.

My practice spans from transactional work for residential real estate, HOAs, time-share, and related associations, commercial real estate developments, construction loans, short-term rental permitting and issues, corporate formation, asset sales and acquisitions, to litigation matters requiring mediation, arbitration, and multi-day trials. I represent corporate, institutional, and individual clients across several industries, from financial institutions and publicly traded and middle market energy companies to RV park owners and luxury cruise tour operators. I have also litigated individual and class action consumer finance-focused litigation claims under federal and state consumer protection statutes.

My insolvency expertise includes corporate restructuring under chapter 11, out-of-court workouts, representing chapter 7 trustee in complex litigation, advising management and officers regarding fiduciary duties, and all types of adversary proceedings. After demonstrating the requisite litigation experience and passing two exams, I was certified by the American Board of Certification in both consumer bankruptcy and business bankruptcy.

Pro bono work is important to me. I recently received the Donald E. Cordova Distinguished Service Award from the Faculty of Federal Advocates and Colorado's Chief Bankruptcy Judge Michael E. Romero for pro bono efforts defending non-dischargeability bankruptcy cases for indigent debtors.

My clients benefit from my knowledge of emerging business trends and their day-to-day operational and financial issues. I am an elected board member for local and national organizations, hold executive positions on several committees, and frequently speak at conferences and publish articles.
