I am a seasoned litigator, with 9 years of expirience litigating high level cases throughout California on behalf of Employers and Insurance Companies. I now am devoted to bringing my talent and knowledge to benefit injured workers throughout Northen California.

I am a solo practicioner located in Shasta County California eager to serve all injured workers in the North State Community. For too long I have seen the members of this extraordinary community underserved by the Workers Compensaiton system and I have determined that starting my own practice to address these sytem-wide flaws is a calling that I have to answer.

Because of my expirience litigating cases throughout California I have extensive knowledge of industry medical providers and medical legal evaluators. The status of treatment in the workers compensation system is horrible, but even moreso in the North State. I am committed to finding a way to get you to medical providers who can properly request your treatment, will take the time to discuss your treatment with the insurance company reviewers, and I will get you to a medical legal evaluator who knows how to properly apply the guides for rating your injuries. This is another talent that is hard to find throughout Northern California, and unfortunately can not be measured or evaluated in an internet search.

In addiiton to superior case management on treatment and discovery, there are other areas where many advocates may not assist you. One specific area is addressing your non-industrial injures that are now combined with your work injuries, which can many times be completley labor disabling. There is a source of benefits for injured workers with these non-indstrial conditions, referred to as the "subsequent injuries fund", that many applicant attorneys leave outside of their scopr of practice. I do not leave any benefit off of the table, and will discuss various complexities of the Workers Compensation Benefit System with you so we can formulate the best plan of action to manage your case.

On a more personal note, another observation I have of the struggles injured workers face is a complete lack of accountabiity by any system provider. Your calls go unanswered by the claims adjuster. Your doctor passes the buck and blames the insurance company (who will not return your calls) for every treatment denial. Nobody seems to want to talk to you unless they want something from you. You are in pain, stressed out, getting worse every day, and your bills are going unpaid. Making matters worse, every time you try to talk to an attorney you are routed to a non-attorney who has several dozen questions, and no legal advice to provide you with.

I am not a "quick cash" lawyer. There is a time and place for a quick settlement, but I intend to get you all of your benefits, which includes medical treatment, wage loss, SIBTF benefits, and Permanent Disability. 

My vision for Gorman Law is the following compact with our clients:

1. I will be your point of contact for legal quesiotns and disputes, and your case will be handled by me- your attorney- because that is how it is supposed to be.

2. I will not pass the buck. I am accuntable for any legal issues that come up in your case.

3. I can not make your doctor request your treatment differently, but if your doctor can not get your treatment authorized I will get you to a different doctor.

4. I will not push you into any settlement you are not comfortable with. I will give you your options. I will give you my opinion and advice. But any settlement is completely up to you.

5. I will not allow your employer or the insurance company to bully you. I don't care how "big" they are, I will not back down from a fight for you unless YOU are going to benefit from it.

6. I will always respond to your emails and phone calls. I may not tell you what you want to hear (my job is to give you honest and accurate information), but I will always personally respond within 24 hours.

All consultations are free. There is no obligaiton to hire me. I will encourage you to speak with other attorneys, to make sure I am the attorney you want. If you do not need an attorney, and will get the same recovery without my assistance, I will tell you that. Why? Because the best attorneys rely on their reputation, and my reputation is the most valuable professional asset I have.
