William John Lee

William J. Lee, JD, MS, FACE, FACHDM, is a nationally and internationally recognized attorney-scientist practicing mass tort, class action, and other complex litigations. William leads Kershaw Talley Barlow's scientific practice group, supporting major public health litigations and investigations. Working at the intersection of epidemiology, law, and policy, William collaborates with leading experts and law firms to develop scientific and medical evidence, performs epidemiologic and biostatistical analyses, and develops novel real-world evidence using epidemiologic, pharmacologic, molecular, epigenetic, and multi-omic data. William routinely serves on court-appointed scientific leadership in nationwide pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer product, and environmental exposure litigations, helping shape strategy on causation, liability, and notice. William is a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology (FACE), serves on its Ethics and Policy Committee, and is President of its Research and Education Foundation. William is also a Fellow of the American College of Health Data Management (FACHDM) and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Network for Epidemiology in Policy. William graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law, earned an MS in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale University, and a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from Duke University. William has held research appointments at Vanderbilt University, Dartmouth College, the National Center for Patient Safety, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. William actively publishes his original research and is a regular speaker at national scientific and legal conferences.
