Anne Elizabeth Ferguson

Anne E. Ferguson focuses her practice on health care law and general business law.  She is licensed in California and has been counseling and advising health care providers and other business and nonprofit organizations in California for more than 20 years.  She regularly assists clients with business organizations, governance, contracts, transactional, regulatory, operational and compliance matters. 

Anne has provided legal counsel to physicians, medical groups, hospitals, home health agencies, hospices, long term care facilities, assisted living facilities, surgery centers, clinics, pharmacies, management services organizations, health plans, IPAs, trade associations and other health care providers.  She is conversant with the myriad of complex legal and regulatory issues health care providers must address to successfully complete business organizations, transitions and transactions.  Her prior health care clinical and management experience imparts a practical understanding of the issues faced by health care providers. 

In advising clients, Anne strives to offer prompt and personalized attention that provides practical business advice to help health care providers navigate the complex regulatory environment that impacts their business relationships. 

All business arrangements involving health care providers must take into consideration the complex regulatory environment in which they take place.  Federal and California laws governing the licensure, scope of practice, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rules and requirements, fraud and abuse, HIPAA and other laws affect the organization, operations and contractual relationships of health care providers.
