Aaron Sumner Mckinney

Attorney Aaron S. McKinney is a graduate of California State University - Sacramento, and the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. He heads our appellate department. Though his practice focuses on civil appeals and writs, Mr. McKinney often consults and assists trial attorneys with motion work and brief-writing. Other attorneys regularly hire Mr. McKinney to prepare jury instructions in factually or legally complicated cases, and to draft statements of decision after bench trials, as these items, if drafted hastily or poorly, often shape the outcome of an appeal after trial. Mr. McKinney is an experienced litigator in his own right; he handles cases from client intake through trial.
