Madeleine Ann Tabor

I am writing this on behalf of my mother. In March of 2021, my mother’s spouse of 30+ years passed away. He was a retiree of a big motor car company. When she reported his death to his employer, they told her she didn’t qualify for surviving spouse benefits. He took care of her for all of those years..., and she was devastated, to say the least. I began searching and searching for help for my mom and came across the pensionhelp.org. They then directed me to Western States Pension Assistance Project. I was instructed to leave a message and should expect a return call in about six weeks. By then I received a call from Madeleine Tabor, and she was a gift from God. Madeleine was a wealth of knowledge and she advised me of what steps to take to dispute the denial of benefits. She also warned me that the car companies are the worst and to prepare for a long wait. She gave me comfort by saying if we still didn’t get anywhere with them after their investigation, then to feel free to reach out to her again. Her direct phone and email were provided. By August of 2021, my mom received a devastating letter that the benefits were still denied even after all required documents were submitted to them several times over the years. At this point, I reached out to Madeleine again and she was happy to help my mom. It gave me much relief to know that my mom’s case was in good, qualified hands. Madeleine was always quick to respond to all emails and phone calls. All of the supporting documents were given to Madeleine and then she went to work. She then sent a very detailed 3-page letter to them stating all of the facts and basically proved that their decision made no sense. By December of 2021, the company agreed to now pay my mom the surviving benefits that she was entitled to, and they sent one lump sum of retroactive pay and will continue to send a monthly pension payment for the rest of her life. My mother and I will forever be grateful for the outstanding help that Madeleine provided, and that this phenomenal organization helped her with.
