Claire C. Calvert

Claire C. Calvert has experience in both civil and criminal law and has

participated in trials, hearings and a variety of other appearances in

Sacramento County, Placer County, El Dorado County, Nevada County

and Yolo County.

Claire grew up in the Sacramento area, but left town to pursue an

undergraduate degree in Political Science. She attended California

Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo before transferring

to George Washington University in Washington D.C. to finish her

Bachelor’s Degree. 

Before leaving Washington D.C., Claire was selected from among her

peers to travel with and participate in Post Graduate studies and discussions with the Cezch Republic and Bratislava regarding a variety of post Velvet Divorce issues facing the region.  She attended meetings and spoke with Senate and Parliamentary representatives from both countries as they worked and discussed potential problems and solutions for the region.

After returning to California Claire worked in the private sector before

attending law school and graduating from the University of the

Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

During her second and third years of law school Claire decided to focus on pursuing a career in criminal defense, and worked with multiple criminal defense firms in the Sacramento area.  She finally settled at a firm with whom she had worked for over a year before taking and passing the California Bar Exam. Once admitted to the California Bar, Claire continued her zealous representation with this firm.

Claire now heads the Criminal Division at Calvert & Coleman, where she works hard to fight on behalf of her clients. Client communication is a priority for her and the firm, and she works hard to ensure that each client is up to date on the status of their case, and that each client understands the available options as their case moves forward.
