Bruce Wescott Kerr

I started out in 1972 as a Staff Attorney for "Freedom Through Equality" in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, part of the federal OEO program for low income people. It was absorbed into Milwaukee Legal Services. After a year and a half, I decided to scratch an itch and took 6 months off to perform music & sing as a solo performer. That became 20 years of solo, duo, and 4 years with a band in New England. I opened for "Weird Al Yankovic" and others.

In 1993, I resumed my legal career as a consumer bankruptcy attorney (federal law off my Wisc. license). At age 47, I took the California Bar and passed. A few years later I took a job as contracts manager with Sun Microsystems, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA. Over the next 13 years I worked up through Counsel to Senior Counsel to Assistant General Counsel in 2008. In 2010, Oracle bought Sun and I became a "Deal Manager," drafting and negotiating sales contracts, software license agreements, and cloud services agreements for Oracle's largest commercial and bank customers.
