Inventor found a cost effective way to overcome the problem of the "digital cliff" in situations where there is no available communications network (such as in war time conditions) where digital signal ... s are perfect one minute and then completely lost without warning. Such situations result in loss of remotely controlled devices used in information gathering missions, and loss of signal without warning resulted in loss of the device. This client found an ingenious way of making a digital signal act like an analogue one, where the quality of the link can be ascertained by the degradation of the (analogue) signal. Ricky's invention is now the platform standard used by the US Military.
