I retained Mark in Nov. 2017 and provided him a retainer check and signed his agreement. I did not hear from him again until May 2018, at which time he required another retainer check in order to draft a complaint. Mark finally provided me a draft of a complaint in August 2018 and said he filed th...e complaint with the court in August. I checked with the court and the complaint was not actually filed until October. Mark also said he served the other party in August, but the other party has never been served. Despite repeated requests, Mark will not provide any Proof of Service, nor will he provide any billing details or a refund of the unused retainer. I have since changed attorneys and Mark will not turn over the file or respond to any communication with either me or the new attorney, despite repeated requests.
