Heather R. Chubb is a Life Transitions Lawyer based in the Sacramento, California, area dedicated to helping individuals and families make the best possible legal decisions for themselves and those they love. She founded The Chubb Law Firm in 1999 because she saw the need for a different approach to estate planning and administration, an approach that is straight forward, easy and above all understandable. Heather believes that there is nothing worse than a plan that takes a team of lawyers to decipher. She uses her passion to educate her clients and make navigating the legal world easy, understandable and comfortable. She believes that the practice of law is not about papers. It’s about people and relationships.
As the name implies, life transitions planning isn’t a one-time event, but a series of steps that change and vary depending upon your goals and stage of life. Ensuring your plan is up-to-date is essential to its proper functioning and to helping your family and loved ones avoid delays, and unnecessary costs.
While each of her clients has different needs and objectives; they all have the common goal of protecting those they love, keeping control for as long as possible, making the most of assets they worked hard to acquire, making things as easy as possible for their loved ones, and having a trusted advisor they can call with their life transition questions.
Whether developing a foundational estate plan, special needs plan, long-term care plan (including Medi-Cal and VA benefits), or advanced plan, or administering a plan upon death or incapacity, the focus of each plan is the individual client and their needs and goals. Because she truly listens to her clients’ concerns, she is able to transform clients’ visions into plans that meet their desires and exceed their expectations.
