Douglas P. Adams

Douglas P. Adams, Personal Injury Attorney, is a founding partner of Adams & Corzine and has 40 years of experience as a trial lawyer.  Prior to entering private practice, Doug served as a Deputy District Attorney at the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, where he tried in excess of 50 jury trials.  Doug is passionate about helping his clients and is well-respected among his peers for his success and dedication. 

Professional Accomplishments

Doug has earned the respect of his legal community for ardent representation of his clients. He has achieved an "AV" rating, the highest possible national rating from Martindale-Hubbell. The "AV" rating is derived from confidential assessments by attorneys in the community as well as judges. 

He was elected to be a National Board Member of The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a respected professional organization with exclusive membership limited only to the most impressive trial attorneys. The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In 2015, Doug was granted the honor of serving as President of the Sacramento Chapter of ABOTA.

Community Involvement

Mr. Adams is trained and qualified as a mediator for the California Court of Appeal, Third District.  He also serves as a Pro Tem Judge and arbitrator/mediator throughout Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado Counties.

In previous years, Doug has been an instructor in Tort Law for the Paralegal Program at the University of California, Davis and has served on the Board of Directors for both the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and the C.S.U.S. Stinger Foundation.

Mr. Adams is a graduate of the University of Pacific, and McGeorge School of Law, with Distinction. He resides in Rancho Murieta, California with his wife and two sons.
