B1/B2 will allow you to scope out locations, talk to folks, etc., in the US... just not do any gainful work. That should be fine for a one-off...

Actually, both a corporation and LLC can result in single level taxation, and you will never pull dividends in the case of a corporation... But the...

I would treat it as a customer service issue, and call AmeriGas directly. Work up the chain of command, until you get a satisfactory answer.
