I hired this Attorney after meeting with numerous Attorneys in town. There are truly not enough wonderful things I can say about Jonathan and his team at JB Dath law. He is an honest, fair and trustworthy man who truly cares about all his clients. He really takes his time to learn about all the issue...s in your case and works very hard to build an excellent defense, I have spent countless Sundays in his office because that was the only free time I had, so he took away from his family time for my case. He not only is an excellent lawyer but became a friend with his kind words and reassuring nature during the hardest time of my life, a custody battle. I have also spoken to other clients of his and they all say the same things. I have had other lawyers and none compare to Jonathan, my family and I are so grateful for him and anytime we need him he is always there for us. All of that plus his extensive knowledge of the legal system makes him an exceptional lawyer. The bad reviews written here on this site must be written by people just trying to smear him, jealous of his amazing work ethic. Buyer beware! This attorney is a great salesman of his abilities and knows how to sell you when you have nothing left and are about to go into the most treacherous divorce possible. I came with barely any funds and needed direction and advice on what the best course of action should be. He worked o...n my faith and stated that he was going to give me a deal because that is what God would do. It was a set price from the beginning to the end of the case. I was vulnerable and wanted a smooth divorce that was fair. I did not ask for something for free. The attorney knew I was vulnerable. I did not know what it cost to go through a divorce. He made me believe that I was the one he was led to give a deal to and to make my divorce affordable. If I only knew then what I know now I would have seen the writing on the wall. My case was critical and needed an attorney who knew the law and what needed to be done so I could get equal custody of my son and protection. He was eloquent and convincing. The reality though hit hard when I was ridiculed in court, put down by my own attorney for his lack of knowledge in the case and was left with little to no time with my son. In addition the writing of the Declaration and all other documents was completed by a friend of mine who was well versed in writing rather than my attorney. My friend worked for hours compiling documentation, emails, videos, etc. to support my case that were never even seen. Instead of support from the man who claimed to have God and used my faith as a sales tactic I received criticism and judgment and was told to accept the outcome of the case. The outcome was 10% visitation with my son. He would not return phone calls or emails and would become very rude towards me when I would ask questions making me feel as if I was completely inept. He also lost pertinent documents to my case and blamed it on his paralegal when it was discovered. No apologies were received. He told me that this was the best I would get and to accept it and move on with my life. The final straw to me came when I discovered that he made referrals to the opposing council whom he stated was malicious and underhanded. During the case he would say, “he does not play fair and you have to watch him carefully.” In this small world that we live in I discovered that one of my co-workers who had the same attorney was referred by him to the opposing council. In total despair of losing my son I fired him and went and got another attorney. I had faith that I was not going to lose my son and the right attorney would make sure of that. The new attorney was shocked when he reviewed the case on how poorly it was handled. He was honest with what he could do with the great mess I had been put in. He did it. My new attorney got me more than 40% custody of my son and joint legal and physical custody. I wish I could have hired him from the beginning and never paid this attorney the flat rate for my case. The issues we had to fix were serious and took a lot of effort and knowledge on my new attorney’s part to succeed. He never refunded me any of the money I paid. I asked for 30% of it back and did not even receive a call back from him.
