Unprofessional

I called to get information about an existing attorney and was met with an attitude from Kathleen, no help at all and she ended up hanging up on me. I wouldn’t use this office if it was the last place of earth.

Hello. This is Kathleen Bryson. You called my cell phone when I was outside a courtroom. You asked me about a male attorney that worked with me. I have never had a male attorney work with me. You did not know his name and barely knew the kind of work he did for you. I explained (once we were able to narrow it down to probate) that it may have been an attorney I knew but that he was retired and then I suggested that you just hire a new one. I was going to give you two different possiblibilities when the deputy bailiff in court 3 started to shut the courtroom. I rushed to get there as I didn't want to be locked out. You may have heard him being rude to me. In any case, I then had to get off the phone with you as he wasn't going to let me in if I was on my phone. This was even though there was no judge in the courtroom and even if that judge had been in the courtroom, we were not on the record and he would not have minded. So after having a male deputy bailiff harass me such that I had to let his Sergeant know, I then have you. So yes, if that is something which you would take time out to blog about ON THE VERY SAME DAY then I think maybe you are someone who hates other women and should probably seek a male attorney for your probate issue.

Sounded great until it was GO time...

She talked the talk but when it came down to it all she did is take my money and couldn't produce.

Not impressed

Not a very good attorney. Gladly takes your $ but always wants you to take a "deal"

Nothing but a thief

I hired her to do something when I had three misdemeanor charges, halfway through the case she pulled herself off of it leaving me to the protection of the public defenders who ended up getting me what I asked for. I wouldn't hire her again for anything

Incompetent

Kathleen Bryson has been fired repeatedly by every firm who was unfortunate enough to hire her. The judges of Humboldt County know her reputation well and having her represent you puts you immediately in a poor position. Don’t believe any website she pays to advertise on, simply ask a local lawyer, j...udge, or law enforcement officer. Any one of them can give you an earful on Kathleen Bryson.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
