Robert Steven Brown

Mr. Brown accomplished more in 24 hours than I had in five months pro per. I had struggled with my case (a request for Relief of Firearms Prohibition) for nearly half of a year and four fruitless hearings before I came to Mr. Brown. I had only wanted a consultation with him to get information on the ...laws regarding my case, but I decided to hire him once he demonstrated how knowledgeable he was (and is). Two days later, he won my case. As far as price goes, I believe his rates are very fair, considering the quality of his services. I even got a good part of my retainer back. Mr. Brown is very professional, and very down-to-business. I recommend him highly. My only regret is that I did not hire him earlier.

My daughter needed an Attorney to represent her pertaining to child custody. My daughter hired an Attorney from Ukiah, but after my first meeting with the Attorney, I convinced my daughter we needed better counseling and preferably local representation, by a CA. board certified in Family law. Being... a former Private Investigator for a good Law Firm, I began the footwork by talking to many people, not only professional people ,but also their common folk clients. Such as in bars, on the street, and the people eating lunch at various places @ the hotdog stand [for days] in front of the courthouse and surrounding areas of Lake County,CA but especially in Lakeport,Ca. to anyone who who would talk to me about lawyers. After days of footwork and many hotdogs and many beers and consulting with numerous Attorneys, I had one firm left to check out. Remaining was the law firm of" Crump, Bruchler and La Velle". My footwork paid off when I was eating a hotdog and the vendor said:"There's your man" and called to him.This was the man I had heard many good things said about him & also his law firm. Mr. Ed La Velle was ushering his legal secretary to his awaiting car. After getting her in the car, I was introduced & we talked briefly. I was allowed consultation on that day at his office.I was very pleased & relieved when the consultation was over,that all my questions were answered truthfully. The atmosphere in the office area is so relaxed and comfortable, and in a very professional manner, that you can not miss this point upon entering the front door. His legal secretary has been with the firm 30 years or so.His receptionist & office manager20 years or close,all to the best of my memory.I guess the latest to come into the firm was attorney Steven Brown. Mr. La Velle later requested, because of schedules, that Steve Brown take the lead in the case. I was hesitant at first, but I also knew that only a good attorney, could become an associate with this very impressive law firm. I soon relaxed and soon I had great confidence in Steve Brown's abilities. Steve did a wonderful job with my daughters case. Steve is very dedicated to getting correct information leading to facts.Steve builds a good case by spending time on investigative leads brought to his attention.His "A" pluses are in his preparedness, and his flexibility to adapt. Unseen things can happen in a moment, and being able to adapt, even though you are fully prepared is must as a good attorney. Steve is also confident,but far from cocky. The results were miraculous and I am pleased so much with this law firm that I have taken time to write this review.I will also encourage my daughter to write a review relating to Mr. Brown's abilities. A big thank you to the entire firm from a grateful grandpa,who was blessed by getting to hold this grand child first. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.The truth always helps,but it takes a good Lawyer to express the truth in a proper legal manner and to show, or prove that the other party has not been truthful.
