How many people can say that working with an attorney was not only professional but pleasant? Or that they felt listened to, helped, satisfied from beginning to end, and that the fee was completely worth it. Waiting for my bankruptcy hearing, I got a chance to observe other lawyers and talk to othe...r people in the same circumstances. What a revelation! My lawyer, Myles, was on time, professionally attired, knew his stuff, had the respect of the bankruptcy court and was prepared. None of the 20+ other attorneys present were even close to matching Myles. He earned my complete trust. He was always honest. He explained things to me, gave me options and helped me make decisions. He has outstanding communication skills that are clear, persuasive and concise. He is articulate. He listens. I trusted his judgement. He was responsive. He always returned my calls and emails promptly. I always knew, that Myles understood how I felt and what my goals were. Myles never treated me like any subject was beyond my understanding. An annoying behavior of other attorneys. Myles is dedicated to what he does and to helping others. He has a passion for his work. He went with this type of law for a reason and his compassion for my circumstances was evident throughout. Other of Myles’ attributes that I admire and appreciate are his perseverance and his creative problem solving skills. Myles’ office used to me crowded with gifts from appreciative clients. Think how rare that is! Not only do Myles’ clients pay his fee but they are so grateful and he is so above the norm that we give him The bottom line is, there is no better attorney in Sonoma County than Myles Dresslove. There may be lawyers comparable to Myles but none better! I know this through personal experience and from hearing of other’s experiences with other attorneys. I have written plenty of reviews, but none for a person, place or service that more profoundly improved my life. Myles Dresslove was my first direct experience hiring and working with an attorney. During the recession bankruptcy was my only slim option for trying to hold on to my house. The problem was I had too much equity. The bank wanted my house! Two other lawyers turned me down before Myles was recommended. My case wasn’t easy enough and didn’t have a fast-enough payoff for them. By the time I met with Myles I was very frightened. When Myles said he would help, I got tears in my eyes I was so enormously relieved. He did help. He did all sorts of things as a normal way of doing business, that my experience of other attorneys has shown me is not the norm. He was professional. Much, much more professional than the other attorneys I saw and heard about. He was always prepared. The attitude of the bankruptcy court judges, lawyers and others toward him was so obviously one of deep respect. He even looked and dressed more professionally than the other lawyers! I trusted him through the bankruptcy and then on other legal issues. He was always honest. He explained things to me and then would give me options and help me make decisions. He has outstanding communication skills that are clear, persuasive and concise. He is articulate. He listens. Really, listens. He is meticulous. I could trust his judgement. He was responsive. He always returned my calls and emails promptly. I have since learned that’s none of the above is normal among attorneys. With my current attorney, who is handling something that is outside Myles area of expertise, and from hearing from others about their attorneys, I have learned that Myles is the exception. Attorneys in general seem to not be great at listening and responding. I always knew, that Myles understood how I felt and what my goals were. Myles never treated me like any subject was beyond my understanding. Another annoying behavior of other attorneys.
I’ve since met some of Myles’ other clients. We all rave about the man. Recommending Myles to anyone is giving them a treasured gift.
