OUTCOME: Clients pled no contest in lieu of a "deferred entry of judgment." This means, if they lead a law abiding life for one year, the case shall be dismissed. I am confident this will happen.

A husband and wife were arguing at their home, when the police arrived. Not surprisingly, the cops laid a case on the pair, who were in no mood to be bullied by the authorities. The couple were charg ... ed with a violation of Penal Code Section 148, "resisting, obstructing or delaying" an officer in his duties.

My client was charged with Misdemeanor Hit and Run Driving, a violation of Vehicle Code Section 20002(a), for an accident which occurred on the 101 Freeway, near Corte Madera.

Client was charged with a violation of Health and Safety Code Section 11378. (Possession of a controlled substance for sale.) She was found with 52.8 grams methamphetamine.

Client was charged with the following violations: Penal Code Section 245, (Assault with a deadly weapon - Felony) with an enhancement pursuant to Penal Code Section 12022.7(a) (Infliction of Great Bodi ... ly Injury) and 186.22(d) (gang enhancement. Also Charged with a "stand alone" 186.22 gang participation charge as well as a violation of Penal Code Section 242, (Battery) both felonies. In addition, client was charged with three "trailing" midemeanors stemming from another less serious incident. The maximum sentence if found guilty on all charges was over fifteen years.
